Dauphin Island Fire Rescue is made up of a dedicated group of volunteers. Our volunteers include career firefighters and paramedics, a postman, college students, engineers and real estate agents. Many of our members participate with their spouses, girlfriend/boyfriend and even a family that has three generations of their family participating.

We operate out of one fire station using two fire engines, three brush fire fighting trucks, a technical rescue unit, two UTVs and an ALS equipped ambulance.

Dauphin Island Fire Rescue provides fire suppression, medical first response, vehicle extrication, water rescue, hazardous material response plus and anything else needed to meet our mission.

The mission of Dauphin Island Fire and Rescue is to provide an effective and efficient system of services that meets the community’s needs in life protection, property conservation and preservation of the environment.
